Ooh, I really like this wallpaper!
I haven’t been a Ubuntu guy in a long time, but Canonical consistently designs the best wallpapers for their releases.
Word. Unfortunately I cannot like Ubuntu for all of canonicals decisions, but there’s no doubt they have designed the most iconic Linux DE there is.
So much so that if someone who doesn’t use Linux thinks of Linux, they imagine Ubuntu.
I still miss unity sometimes. The unified menu and the HUD/dash design, so well thought out
Canonical sure know how to name them.
I’ll be excited again when they give up on Snaps.
Snaps promise to do some really cool things. They just are a bitch to use and they are slow and tied too heavily to canonical.
Weren’t use supposed to be able to snap in and out a kernel by now? Like, not even needing a reboot?
The kennel is a snap in Ubuntu Core, but you still need to reboot. I don’t think there’s a nice way to work around that.
Snap there still? If so, not even looking at it. Fedora and Debian I am thoroughly enjoying.
Yup I run LMDE on Desktop (or “LMAE” Arch) and Debian on servers since they made it annoying to rip out snaps. I’m not interested in making a distro something it is not, so just use something else.
What a jabroni.
The push towards Snap appears to be more optional now
I read that “Prickly muffin” and now I’m debating on whether I should or should not watch Bojack Horseman again
