Aww, man, I’m conflicted here. On one hand, they seem like good dudes who deserve to eat and whose work I’ve enjoyed for years. On the other, they’re AI enthusiast crypto-bros and that’s just fucking exhausting. I deal with enough of that bullshit at work
I use to follow them, until I got bored of long stretches of bitcoin and tailscale promotion.
Tailscale deserves it, bitcoin absolutely does not
It does, I use it. But feels disingenuous when an employee spends so much time time talking about it.
Selfhosted was their one podcast I still listened to was it wasn’t all crypto and NixOS.
Didn’t perceive the AI enthusiasm as too bad. At least they also covered self hosted LLMs and don’t seem like they fell completely for that hype.
The crypto stuff is difficult to stomach though. More of an issue on their other podcasts though.
