Boot to WinPE and use Rufus to create one maybe? Not sure if WTG still works though.
I personally never used WTG. If you’re planning to use this across multiple machines/hw configs, I don’t think the normal windows can handle it as you’d have to install the correct drivers every time. I recall there being some hardware profile thing at bootup but not so sure. (that was XP)
Thanks I know I can’t use it on multiple hardware. I plan to use it with a single laptop
well then it should defo work, it’s just a normal windows installation done to a usb3 drive instead of sata/nvme.
I will update the post with the results and my final solution. for now the new SSD I bought online hadn’t arrived yet to test this the older one I used before was kinda faulty I decided to buy a new one with a USB 3.2 enclosure
