“Gimp is good but i miss the heal patch” …not really.

Resynthesize is a heal selection plugin you can add to Gimp. With many software store manager like the one from Linux Mint all you have to do is simply to add the additional components in the software page

Otherwise you can download it from github and add it to your plugin folder following this guide

https://www.arkthinker.com/edit-image/remove-the-watermark-with-gimp/

https://github.com/bootchk/resynthesizer

once installed you can find it in Filters> Enhance > Heal section

Unless this has been fixed in newer versions, it should be pointed out that ReSynthesizer relies on an older version of Python that most distrobutions don’t have anymore, so unless your using the flatpak, which has all of those dependencies still built in, it won’t work.

Would be nice to see a plugin where you can resize to small and back to large and have it no pixelate.
    Maybe even drawing shapes.

I installed it like and hour ago (prior to seeing your message), will try it out soon. Never gave a proper run to Gimp. Insalled on Bazzite, had a downloadable extension section with it and all. I frigging love Bazzite. Thanks for the reminder: D

Gentoo also has it in the repos. Really cool tool. I don’t do much image editing these days, but recently used it to extend a background (mostly a simple pattern) for a wallpaper.
