LMDE

I think it has to do with a recent decision by OO to default save all files in MS format vs an open format ? I saw some post about it on Mastodon. I use LO

Maybe people will even learn that the fragmentation isn’t a weakness of linux, but one of its strengths
Maybe but its also super off putting to people looking on from the outside and wju do we need 500 flavours of Debian based distros when interested developers perhaps would be better tasked working om a few projects to inwprove things

Mint, then LMDE for me but i did it sooner, rather then being forced to upgrade to W11 later. I was on W10 about 2.5 years ago now.

Buy a new NVME and install whatever distro you’re looking at on that.
Then take our time and sort stuff out. Maybe move it all to the old D drive (which eill not be called D on Linux). Once your happy with that, perhaps format C and use it for backuos ? Assuming you mean two drives ?

The amount of stuff i read about it ,i’d thought 30 Million! Lot of noise about it out there.

Thanks for the speedy reply. On LMDE so Debian it is.
They have no Linux Drive desktop client, so that was pleasent suprise.

Do they have a Linux client for the desktop?

A few thousand means ?
I have 11000 ebooks on Calibre and am looking at alternatives.

Still rocking BeOS :)

Woosh ? Thats literally the proble. thr OP referred to,he to has a Plexpass and his watchers are being notified.
About 90 mins. I shut it down when i finish every and turn it off at the wall (fuskibg standby LEDs). I can go days without booting it back up. I use #LMDE
bitwarden
seems odd you say how cumbersome it is to manage and backup (not an issue I’ve faced though) and yet you are using some cumbersome alternative ?
